OUR STORY
Some journeys begin long before we are aware of them.
Our roots trace back to Istria, a land shaped by stone, wind and the Adriatic Sea. Part of our family came from small villages in this region generations ago, before history and borders transformed the peninsula. Like many others, they left their homeland and built a new life elsewhere, carrying with them traditions, memories and a deep connection to olive oil.
Years later, in Trieste, olive oil became part of family life again through a small artisanal production created by my father. It was never intended for commerce. It was simply a way to preserve a culture, a gesture repeated season after season for family and friends.
Life eventually led me to Switzerland, where I built my career and spent more than two decades away from the landscapes of my origins. Yet the idea of returning to olive cultivation never disappeared. Every visit back to the northern Adriatic revived the same feeling: a connection not only to a territory, but to a way of living shaped by patience, resilience and respect for nature.
This project was born from that return.
Choosing Istria was both a personal and deliberate decision. Today the region is internationally recognized for producing some of the finest extra virgin olive oils in the world, thanks to its mineral-rich karst soil, strong coastal winds and colder winters that challenge the trees and concentrate their character.
Our olive groves are cultivated with the belief that exceptional olive oil cannot be rushed. It is the result of endurance — of trees resisting the Bora wind, of generations preserving knowledge, and of people willing to dedicate time and effort to something authentic.
The oils we produce are a celebration of that spirit: rooted in heritage, shaped by nature, and created for those who understand that true reward comes through perseverance.
